A Kid on a Mission for the Eastern Panhandle
Hi, I'm Adaly Roze Navarro! I live in Bunker Hill, West Virginia — a historic and fast-growing community in the Eastern Panhandle. I'm a kid just like a lot of kids here, but I see every day how many of my classmates and neighbors go without the basics.
Our county is growing fast, but not everyone is keeping up. In our area, 1 in 7 kids doesn't always have enough to eat, and nearly half the students at some of our local schools rely on free lunch programs. Many kids are facing tough times at home, living in foster care, or being raised by grandparents. Things like new school supplies, joining a sports team, or paying for a field trip are simply out of reach for too many families.
That's why I started Adaly's Prints. I create these adorable flexi animals, and a portion of every single sale goes directly toward helping children right here in Berkeley County — covering school supplies, activity fees, and educational resources so that every kid gets a chance to thrive. This is a kid helping kids — because in our community, we look out for each other.

Why We Help: The Reality in Berkeley County, WV
Adaly's Prints focuses our giving on Bunker Hill and the surrounding Berkeley County area in West Virginia. While our region is known for its beautiful scenery, deep history — Bunker Hill is the oldest settlement in the state! — and rapid recent growth, there is a hidden struggle that many of our children face every day.
Economic Strain
While the county is growing, 11% of our population and over 13% of our children live below the poverty line. Even more families are classified as ALICE — they work hard but still can't afford the basic cost of living.
Cost of Extracurriculars
For families struggling to pay rising rent and grocery bills, fees for summer camps, sports equipment, and school activities are impossible to meet. Local summer day camps can cost upwards of $185 a week per child.
Family Challenges
West Virginia has the highest rate of children entering foster care in the nation, and our Eastern Panhandle has been hit hard by the opioid crisis. Many children are navigating immense instability at home.
Food Insecurity
1 in 7 children in Berkeley County experiences food insecurity. While programs like the Berkeley County Backpack Program do amazing work, the financial strain on families remains high.
